Middleburg's Reliance Hose Company #1  Fall Fest Fireman's Carnival
A GREAT Crowd...!!
First though, it's NOT about the band...it's about WHY there is a Fireman's Carnival...
Even though volunteer firefighters do not live and work in a firehouse like career firefighters, they carry out the same kinds of emergency response duties and non-emergency tasks.

The Reliance Hose Company #1 volunteers (our heroes) do their part to raise funds, fight fires, protect your property, and risk their lives to save yours.... and don't get paid... they are giving, community minded men and women who serve the community.

Emergency firefighting duties are both challenging and physical. In emergency situations, volunteer firefighters should expect to extinguish and prevent fires as well as administer first aid.

Many hours of training is needed...

...for the volunteers to save your life and protect theirs.
Below are just some of the unselfish volunteers who donate their time and energy as volunteer fire fighters AND those community volunteers dedicating their time working at the carnival to help raise funds for the betterment of the community.  When you see them anywhere...just say, "Thanks for what you do."
Thank you again fire fighters and volunteers helping to make our community better!
Please support your local fire company's fundraisers and donate to your local fire department - they may be using this equipment to pull you out of a crushed car or extinguishing a fire to save your family, home, property, or even your life!
The Fire Police
The Fire Police are volunteers who serve the community.  Some of their duties include: Traffic Control at Emergency Scenes, Scene Safety, Crowd Control and Liaison, Scene Security, Police Assistance, and Logistics.

Thank you Fire Police!!
